SPA MANAGER

 

Technical Description

  • Manages, supervises, and oversees all spa operations to ensure achievement of sales goals, business objectives, and profitability
  • Utilizes effective recruiting techniques to attract and hire qualified frontline practitioners and support managers
  • Monitors payroll and expenditures to successfully achieve aggressive spa profit plan
  • Maintains cooperation and teamwork within the facility, placing a high emphasis on customer service and satisfaction
  • Plans and coordinates spa promotions, events, and loyalty programs to maximize marketplace positioning
  • Oversees staff schedules and responsibilities to ensure maximum productivity
  • Oversees group bookings and interfaces with hotel partnerships where applicable
  • Oversees stock control and inventory control procedures
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of product retailing operations
  • Enforces safety, maintenance, and hygiene procedures to ensure a clean, safe working environment
  • Reviews financial data, prepares management reports, and performs administrative functions accurately and on time
  • Administers Human Resource tasks, including hiring and recruitment, performance evaluations, rosters, daily briefings, and time sheets
  • Handles and coordinates local media enquiries
  • Adheres to corporate guidelines

 

Technical Prerequisites

  • Preferred minimum of 5 years' managerial experience—ideally in hotel Rooms Division or health/beauty spa environment
  • Preferred 5 years' customer service experience, ideally in a hospitality, retail, health, beauty, or spa environment
  • Previous experience managing teams of 10 or more
  • Previous training experience highly regarded
  • Proficient computer skills
  • High school degree or equivalent
